To provide the best service to the communities we serve, we must conduct training exercises.  Below you will find information on what training our current members participate in. 

Monthly Training

The department conducts monthly training on the third Monday of each month. (Make-up dates will be on Wednesday and Saturday of the same week).

Typical drills last no more than 3 hours and each member may miss no more than 3 drills in a 12 month period

Some examples of training topics are as follows:
  • Search and Rescue
  • Vehicle Extrication
  • Hose Testing
  • Water Rescue
  • Fire Ground Tactics
  • Water Supply
  • Fire Fighter Safety
  • Etc.

Monthly Meetings

The department holds monthly meetings on the first Monday of each month (We are willing to accommodate work schedules)

Typical meetings last no more than 1 hour and members must attend 50% of meetings in a 12 month period.

Typical meeting topics include (but are not limited to):
  • Budget
  • Area News
  • Education Topics
  • Membership
  • Additional Training
  • Etc.

Continuing Education

There are countless additional training opportunities that are available to our members throughout the year.  All additional training is optional and is 100% covered by the department.
