PUBLIC NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

OWNER- The Brillion Public Library, acting through the Brillion Public Library Board of Trustees, hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be received at the Brillion Public Library for the following described project. 

PROJECT- The work shall consist of installing a concrete sidewalk on the northern library lawn. The library has raised the funds needed to move forward with phase 1 of the Brillion Public Library Reading Garden project. This includes installing 2,803 square feet of concrete for walkways. The specifications of this installation include 4.5" Thickness of Concrete, 4500 PSI, #3 Rebar/ 2' on center, 5" of 3/4" compacted Road Gravel Base, concrete set at proper grade for heights and drainage, and conduit under walkway for electrical.

CONCRETE SERVICES FOR BRILLION PUBLIC LIBRARY READING GARDEN

TIME- Sealed bids will be received until 5 p.m., local time, on February 5, 2025, at the Brillion Public Library. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 4 p.m., local time, on February 6, 2025, in the upper level meeting room of the library. An optional site visit is being offered at 12:30 p.m., local time, on January 28, 2025.

BIDS- All bids shall be addressed to Lydia Dill, Library Director, Brillion Public Library, 326 N Main St, Brillion, WI 54110. Bids shall be sealed and shall have the name and address of the bidder and the RFP for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the envelope. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and upon the bid forms included with the RFP document. 

EXAMINATION OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS- The project documents are on file for inspection at the offices of the Brillion Public Library, 326 N Main St, Brillion WI 54110, and the City of Brillion, 201 N Main St, Brillion, WI 54110. These can also be viewed on the library website at https://www.brillionwi.gov/library 

BID REJECTIONS- The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids which best serves the interest of the Brillion Public Library.

WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS- No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60-days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the OWNER.

The Brillion Public Library is a modern library with a collection of over 30,000 items and is a part of Manitowoc Calumet Library Service (MCLS), a shared consortium with five other libraries that gives Brillion Public Library users access to a collection of over 500,000 items.  The Library offers the public access to the Internet through patron computers, Chromebooks, and a wireless network.

The Brillion Public Library offers a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff that can guide you on your visit. The Library offers reference services through email, telephone and in person. Materials not available in the six MCLS libraries can be requested through Interlibrary loan.
